OMBU THE FOURTH
THE STORY SO FAR
Ombu the Fourth is a unique kindergarten founded in 2020 by three dedicated teachers with a vision to provide the best learning experiences and nurturing environment for young children. Built on a British play-based curriculum, Ombu the Fourth fosters joyful exploration, creativity, and growth in a welcoming, family-centered setting.

Our beautiful outdoor spaces encourage children to connect with nature, and we offer extended hours and specialized services like sensory and occupational therapy to support each child's needs. With seasonal camps and event rentals, Ombu the Fourth is more than a kinder—it's a vibrant community where children, families, and friends come together to learn, play, and grow.
THE OMBU METHODOLOGY
At Ombu the Fourth, we are guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the UK’s modern, play-based framework that aligns with the latest insights into child development. The EYFS enables us to create an environment where children develop socially, physically, and academically through play and discovery, while also supporting bilingual growth.
Our curriculum uses the EYFS as a foundation and extends beyond it to meet the unique needs of our community, blending high expectations with a nurturing, individualized approach. At Ombu, we view the EYFS not as a ceiling but as a launching point—the floor from which children’s potential can soar.

The EYFS is grounded in four guiding principles that we hold close:

OUR FOUNDERS
I’m Elisa, a proud Mexican mum of three. Inspired by my youngest child and their friends, I set out to create a space where children could feel truly happy and emotionally secure. With the incredible Miss Rosie by my side, what began as a small idea grew into something truly magical.
Ombu the Fourth found its perfect home at Gelati 84, and it has become a vibrant, nurturing community. It’s a place where children thrive, and I’m incredibly proud to see it flourish and bring joy to so many families.
I am Sophie. I am an Early Years Specialist trained in the UK. After teaching in both state and private schools, I moved to Mexico to work at a top international school. Following five years in CDMX, I left teaching to become a mum. I found Ombu, The Fourth, when looking for mummy-and-baby classes, quickly falling in love with its space and community. Ombu rekindled my passion for teaching, inspiring me to create a play-based learning environment for young children—a focus I believe is vital here. Ombu the Fourth has a special community, and I’m incredibly proud of it as both a mum and an owner.
I am Rosie, orginally I am from London, England. I studied a PGCE in London 2011 and I worked in a Inner city London State school for 3 years before moving to Mexico. I love teaching and being with the children and showing them that learning can be fun. I love to creative different ways to teach. Creating Ombu the Fourth has been my passion for many years as I wanted a Kinder where the child would learn through play and they were our main focus always.
